Final placement into divisions is determined by age, height, rank and, for older competitors, gender.
Board breaking is open to all ages from white belt up, with board color assigned by age and rank.
Flag sparring is reserved for beginner students who have not yet learned sparring. Scoring is by flag pull, with no striking permitted.
